Here’s a short video of a beautiful Facel Vega lovingly restored by JB Classic Cars in the Netherlands. Jasper Beukenkamp is a professional classic car restorer with a passion for Facel Vegas and he’s also one of my clients. For a while now I’ve worked alongside him on Facel Vega dashboard restoration, creating my hand painted wood effect for the unusual ‘Facel Vega’ style.

Facel Vega cars were manufactured between 1954 and 1964 and are truly beautiful cars in my opinion. After a Facel owner asked if I could restore his dashboard, having seen my painted burr walnut wood effect on metal dashboards, I invested over three weeks of my time to discover and perfect the methods, colours and materials necessary to produce his version of this unusual effect. I’m now known in France as the master craftsman capable of bringing these dashboards back to their former glory and have been awarded the title ‘Maìtre Artisan d’Art’ for my painted wood effect.
