Woodwork & Dashboard Restoration – Rolls Royce Silver Cloud

Dashboard and wooden interior trim pieces for a beautiful classic car, restored by British craftsman Simon

Here are a few photos of the restoration of all the woodwork from a Rolls Royce Silver Clod for a classic car restoration garage based in Luxembourg. The garage dismantled all the pieces and sent them to my via courier.

I reveneered the rounded pieces and the glove box (first and second photos) using veneer that was a similar as possible to the original. I then stained to match the colour and gave it all a new finish. I used my water based laquer that is stable like other modern laquers but gives a much better finish, I believe, that shows off the beauty of the woodwork and not a thick, plastic look that modern cars have.
